PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform various kinds of signal processing without increasing the capacity of a buffer memory even if the number of pixels increases.
SOLUTION: A CCD 26 picks up a subject image passing through a photographic lens, an image processing circuit 29 applies various kinds of image pre-processing such as γ correction or white balance to N×M image data outputted from the CCD and further, the data are formatted and then compressed by a compression circuit 33. White balancing or the like is performed line-sequentially in a line processing circuit 100 that performs signal processing point-sequentially for each line along output of the CCD 20. A block processing circuit 200 processing signals for each n×m (N>n, M>m) block applies format processing, before JPEG compression, upon image data after pre-processing. Namely, signal processing is performed block-sequentially.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
