The eyeground observation device 1 has a scanning unit 141 for scanning the eye E to be examined with the signal light LS. When a sectional position is designated for an eyeground image Ef', the eyeground observation device 1 repeatedly scans the signal light LS along each sectional position and repeatedly forms a tomographic image in each sectional position, and displays a tomographic moving picture in each sectional position at a display section 240A.
