<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a small sized proofing job to interrupt a large scale job without stopping the large scale job for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: The method of intermediate job termination includes steps of: calculating an expected termination point of a main job upon submission of an interrupt job, resubmitting the main job to print after completion of the interrupt job starting at the expected termination point+1, printing the main job up to the expected termination point, printing the whole interrupt job, and resuming the printing of the main job at the expected termination point+1 without any pause following the last sheet of the interrupt job. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
