PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patch application environment which is free from infection of computer virus or unauthorized intrusion from the outside and independent from a network environment. SOLUTION: A terminal confirms whether an IP address to be assigned to the terminal, which is received from a network, is set in a connecting destination setting file or not, acquires an IP address of a relay server that is a connecting destination of the terminal from the connecting destination setting file when the received IP address is set in the connecting destination file, and collates the acquired IP address with an IP address of a connecting destination server set in a registry within the terminal. The terminal rewrites the IP address of the connecting destination server set in the registry to the IP address set in the connecting destination setting file when the IP addresses are differed from each other as the result of collation, and connects with the connecting destination server having the rewritten IP address to acquire patch information from the connecting destination server.
