PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication technology of higher security. SOLUTION: Authentication files for a predetermined period are previously stored in a server device (a registration server) having an authentication function based on the authentication system. In a client side device, information of the registration server is previously stored along with a server authentication program. When accessing a web site desired for browsing, information about the access destination is acquired from a server providing the web site. Based on the acquired URL and IP address, a SEED parameter of the server is specified, and based on the SEED parameter and time information, an authentication file is decided. The decided authentication file is compared with an authentication file acquired from the server providing the Web site. When agreement is obtained between both the authentication files, it is determined that the Web site is an authorized.
