PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic probe providing a raster density narrower than the installation pitch of ultrasonic transducers without deteriorating the sensitivity. SOLUTION: Ultrasonic transducer rows are sequentially moved in respective positions aligned at 1 pitch interval along the row direction of the ultrasonic transducer rows to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves at the respective positions by the same number of same ultrasonic transducers.
