PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic switch capable of reducing consumption current. SOLUTION: A principal switching unit 10 is provided with a power source circuit 11 generating a direct-current action power source from an alternating-current power source 1, and variable resistors VR1, VR2 connected to a high-potential power source Vcc of the direct-current action power source. These variable resistors VR1, VR2 are connected to output ports Po4, Po5 of a microcomputer 12 capable of changing over potentials between the high-potential power source Vcc and a low-potential power source Vss. The microcomputer 12 sets potentials of the output ports Po4, Po5 at the high-potential power source Vcc in accordance with power failure detection signals from a power failure detection circuit 18.
