PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine that can reduce backlash with respect to bearing retaining portion of bearing with a simple construction. SOLUTION: A brushless motor includes a case body 11 having a cylindrical bearing retaining portion 11a substantially having a bottom, a bearing 27 inserted into the bearing retaining portion 11a to be retained, and a rotor 15 the rotating shaft 21 of which is supported rotatably by the bearing 27. Also, the brushless motor includes a wave washer 31 having an annular portion 31a having elasticity axially, the annular portion 31a being intervened between the bottom 11e of the bearing retaining portion 11a and the bearing 27. To the wave washer 31, a radial pressing piece 31b axially extending from an axial outer end of the annular portion 31a as well as having elasticity radially is integrally formed, and a bearing contact portion 31d of the radial pressing piece 31b is brought into pressure contact with an outer surface of the bearing 27 from radial direction.
