PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil temperature estimation device for an internal combustion engine, which can accurately calculate an estimated oil temperature of engine oil during both steady operation and transient operation. SOLUTION: The oil temperature estimation device for an internal combustion engine has; a first oil-temperature computing means 105 which computes the oil temperature of the engine based on a received-heat computation to compute the amount of heat received by engine oil and on a radiated-heat computation to compute the amount of heat radiated by engine oil; and a second oil-temperature computing means 303 which computes the oil temperature of the engine based on water temperature information of the engine in a specific steady-operation situation. If a certain deviation occurs between the estimated oil temperature computed by the first oil-temperature computing means 105 and the estimated oil temperature computed by the second oil-temperature computing means 303 in the specific steady-operation situation, the math constant of at least one of the received-heat computation and radiated-heat computation for the first oil-temperature computing means 105 is corrected with a correction value so as to become identical to the estimated oil temperature computed by the second oil-temperature computing means 303.
