PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce temperature differences and temperature gradients arising between both ends of a conventional jet fabric dyeing machine and to maintain a more even and constant temperature profile across the whole of the jet fabric dyeing machine. SOLUTION: The jet fabric dyeing machine includes a traveling tube, a storage chamber in communication with both ends of the traveling tube to form an endless travel path for an endless fabric rope, a nozzle operable to propel the endless fabric rope so that the endless fabric rope circulates around the endless travel path by directing jets of a dye liquor onto the endless fabric rope and an outer vessel enclosing both the storage chamber and the traveling tube. The outer vessel defines the storage chamber and the traveling tube is arranged in the outer vessel. The traveling tube and/or the storage chamber may be elongate and arranged along a slope at several degrees angle, e.g. 3-5°to the horizontal. A second traveling tube and a second nozzle share the outer vessel to provide a second endless travel path for the second endless fabric rope. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
