PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod enabling easy measurement of the weight of a fish at the fishing site. SOLUTION: The fishing rod has a coil spring 6, extending between a tip-side rod member 2 and a grip-side rod member 1 and exerting to return the members to a standard position which is the starting point of the relative movement of both members. A gaff 5 for supporting a fish in suspended state is placed at the grip-side rod member 1, and the tip-side rod member 2 is provided with a scale 2B, to display the relative movement of the tip-side rod member 2 and the grip-side rod member 1 from the standard position as the weight of the suspended fish.
