Disclosed is a composition for ameliorating an optic nerve disorder, which comprises a prostaglandin F<SUB>2a</SUB> compound represented by the formula (1) as an active ingredient. Also disclosed is use of the composition. (1) wherein A represents -COOH or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or amide thereof; B represents a bond, a lower alkylene, or an oxygen; and R<SUB>1</SUB> represents a hydrogen, a halogen or a lower alkyl unsubstituted or substituted by a halogen.
