<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catalyst composition suitable for an electrode enhancing power generation efficiency in a fuel cell, particularly in a single chamber solid oxide fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The electrode catalyst composition includes gold and platinum, and the number of gold atoms is greater than 0 and not greater than 3 when the number of platinum atoms is 100. The electrode catalyst composition includes the number of gold atoms of 0.15-0.25 to the number of platinum atoms of 100. The electrode has the electrode catalyst composition.
