摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To bring up to a high level both high-rate discharge performance and charge/discharge cycle performance of a nickel-hydrogen storage battery. <P>SOLUTION: An anode for a nickel-hydrogen storage battery contains powder of a hydrogen storage alloy and powder of a transition metal element content alloy with a larger volume proportion of a Ni-rich layer to the total volume compared with the above powder of the hydrogen storage alloy. Since the powder of the transition metal element content alloy with larger volume proportion of the Ni-rich layer plays a role of a conductive assistant and is endowed with high hydrogen catalyst function, high-rate discharge of the powder itself is not only possible but also high-rate discharge of the hydrogen storage alloy powder itself is possible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
