<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems of conventional airbag devices wherein a means for increasing an opening area by rupture is hard to stably obtain the breakage characteristic of a predicted breakage portion, i.e., the connected portions of a foundation cloth connected in a small distance, for example, when an internal pressure rises abruptly and all the connected portions are broken simultaneously, the opening area is maximized suddenly, the opening area is not adjusted according to the lowering of the internal pressure of an airbag thereafter, exhaustion is performed at the maximum rate to the last, and the remaining of the connected portions is broken while leaving partly. <P>SOLUTION: In this airbag device, the airbag 1 has an opening through which a gas is blown to the outside of the gas chamber which is formed in the gas chamber formed in a bag shape by using a flexible sheet body.
