<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature control device that imparts high-speed heating/cooling cycles to temperature control objects, using Peltier elements, and to provide a temperature control method that uses the device. <P>SOLUTION: The temperature control device for heating/cooling temperature control objects is provided, which includes first and second Peltier elements with respective one surfaces on which first and second temperature control objects are to be placed, respectively; a connective member to be placed in a thermal contact fashion astride the respective other surfaces of the first and the second Peltier elements; and first and second current injection control means, functioning to respectively control the amplitude and polarity of current injected into the first and the second Peltier elements. The temperature control method includes processes that include controlling of the amplitude and the polarity of current injected into the first and the second Peltier elements by the first and second current injection control means so that the temperature of the surfaces, on which first and second temperature control objects are placed respectively is lower at cooling early stages than that at stably cooling stages, while being higher on heating early stages than that at stably heating stages, and also the temperature of the connective member is kept constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
