PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication method capable of performing communication between terminal devices contained in various ad hoc networks even if the various ad hoc networks are integrated. SOLUTION: A wireless portion 12 performs communication while forming an ad hoc network with other terminal devices. When a control portion 18 has been assigned a role for approving participation of a new terminal device to the ad hoc network, it receives a participation request from the new terminal device and performs approval processing. In addition, when the participation of the new terminal device is approved, the control portion 18 updates a routing table in the ad hoc network. Moreover, when the control portion 18 has been assigned the role for approving participation of the new terminal device to the ad hoc network, it exchanges the routing table with other terminal device to which the role for approving participation of a new terminal device to other ad hoc network has been assigned.
