PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver which can set a sound volume of a default as the same volume even if broadcast is switched to a digital tuner from an analog tuner, or switched to the analog tuner from the digital tuner. SOLUTION: A control section calculates a difference in level between a first analog audio signal in the case that the receiver is switched to analog broadcast reception by the analog tuner and a second analog audio signal in the case that the receiver is switched to digital broadcast reception by the digital tuner, and sets the difference in level, for example, as an offset value of the second analog audio signal. Accordingly, when the analog tuner is switched to the digital tuner, the broadcast receiver can be set so that the volume of defaults of both the tuners can be set the same, and this can eliminates the necessity of readjusting the volume when switching the analog broadcast reception to the digital broadcast reception or the digital broadcast reception to the analog broadcast reception.
