PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gray-level correction method for proof image, a proof output method, and a program that can faithfully reproduce moires in proofing. SOLUTION: The gray-level correction method for proof image is a gray-level correction method for converting gray-level image data into binary dot image data for proof image output, and pixels of the dot image data that have been binarized are increased or decreased at random with a probability, corresponding to the gray-level correction level to make gray-level corrections.
