PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently perform bass register reproduction with a short sound tube length without any trouble caused by a higher resonance frequency. SOLUTION: A speaker system 100A comprises a speaker 101, and a first sound tube 102 and a second sound tube 104 fitted to the back of the speaker 101 in order. The cross section of the sound tube 104 is made smaller than that of the sound tube 102 and the fundamental resonance frequency of a composite sound tube 106 is made lower than the fundamental resonance frequency of a sound tube which is uniform in cross section and equal in length to the composite sound tube 106. The ratio of the length of the sound tube 104 to the length of the sound tube 102 is specified, at least a second resonance frequency or third resonance frequency of the composite sound tube 106 is made higher than a corresponding resonance frequency of the sound tube which is uniform in cross section and equal in length to the composite sound tube 106, and a higher resonance frequency of the composite sound tube 106 is made to deviate from a frequency which is an integral multiple of the fundamental resonance frequency of the composite sound tube 106.
