PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector for increasing the speed to transmit a signal. SOLUTION: The electrical connector is provided with an insulator main body, tongue pieces projecting from the insulator main body, and a plurality of terminals fixed to the tongue pieces. The terminals include a first to a fourth terminal, a first pair of differential signal terminals arranged between the first terminal and the second terminal, and a second pair of differential signal terminals arranged between the third terminal and the fourth terminal. The first to the fourth terminals are a power terminal, a negative signal terminal, a positive signal terminal, and a grounding terminal which are compatible with a USB 2.0, and the pair of differential signal terminals are arranged between the power terminal and the negative signal terminal and the other pair of differential signal terminals are arranged between the positive signal terminal and the grounding terminal. By utilizing the space occupied by the tongue pieces, the number of terminals is increased. Thereby, the speed to transmit the signal is increased. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
