PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw mechanism for securing smooth operation while suppressing abnormal noises and vibration. SOLUTION: Both side faces 4c are inclined faces to be opened as approaching a male screw groove 1a. So, a step between a rolling passage formed by the male screw groove 1a and a female screw groove 2a and a circulation groove 4a is reduced to secure smooth operation while suppressing the generation of noises and vibration when a ball 3 transfers between the rolling passage and the circulation groove 4a.
