PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an idling speed control device for a vehicular engine reducing a sense of incongruity caused by sharp increase and sharp decrease of idling speed. SOLUTION: ECU 40 stores two tables indicating a relation between cooling water temperature of an engine 10 and base rotation speed optimal at that temperature. Base rotation speed corresponding to arbitrary cooling water temperature in one table is set to rotation speed not lower than base rotation speed corresponding to same cooling water temperature in another table. The ECU 40 selects either of the two tables based on an operation condition and determines base rotation speed with using the selected table during non-idling operation of the engine 10. Then, the ECU 40 maintains selection of the table during non-idling operation, determines base rotation speed with using the table, and determines target idling rotation speed by correcting the base rotation speed during idling operation.
