PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately estimate a fuel injection amount, in a diesel engine. SOLUTION: In a control device 100 for a diesel engine, a temperature in a cylinder 131 of the diesel engine can be increased, before pilot injection is executed, by using thermal energy of a glow plug 133. Therefore, in the control device 100 for diesel engine, since the temperature in the cylinder 131 is increased by the thermal energy of the glow plug 133, the pilot injection is executed with the temperature in cylinder increased, even if the temperature in the cylinder 131 is low in the start of the diesel engine 1. The fuel injected in the cylinder by the pilot injection can be ignited stably according to pressure increase in the cylinder 131. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
