PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system enabling human beings and objects to get into or pass through a screen device and capable of image display without being influenced by existence of human beings and objects when they get into or pass through the screen device. SOLUTION: The image display system includes projectors PJ1 and PJ2, and the screen device 100 that displays a projection image being a projection result from the projectors PJ1 and PJ2. The screen device 100 includes a plurality of light diffusion means (screens 101, 101,...) having characteristics of light transmission that light is transmitted and characteristics of light diffusion that light is diffused, and among the plurality of light diffusion means, the projection image is diffused by the second light diffusion means after passing through the first light diffusion means.
