PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is free from lack of brightness and the reduction in responsiveness of liquid crystal in a low-temperature environment without increasing power consumption neither spoiling compactness. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, a liquid crystal display part 12, wherein a liquid crystal panel 24 provided with an electrode 32 for pixel selection and a cold cathode tube 26 installed in the vicinity of the liquid crystal panel 24 are stored in an enclosure 22, and a main body part 14 including a driving part 38 for driving the electrode 32 are connected through a hinge part 16, and an air flow path 42 is provided which introduces air warmed by heat generated in the driving part 38, to peripheries of the cold cathode tube 26 and the liquid crystal panel 24.
