PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage box for a vehicle easily assemblable in an instrument panel and manufacturable at low cost. SOLUTION: This storage box for a vehicle comprises a box body 12 and a cover body 14 for opening and closing the box body 12. The cover body 14 comprises a support member 143 extending through the rear wall of the box body 12 and projecting backward, a pair of hinge arms 144 attached to the rear end of the support body 143 and elastically deformable, a pair of pivot pins 145 attached to the ends of the hinge arms 144 while their axes laterally aligned with each other, a pair of support brackets 127 installed on the rear wall of the box body 12 on both left and right sides of the support member 143, a pair of pivot holes 128 which are formed in the support bracket 127 while their axes are laterally aligned with each other and into which the pivot pins 145 are rotatably fitted, and a torsion coil spring 16 for biasing the cover body 14 in the closed state or the opened state.
