PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable assembly arranging a detachable member in a part of a power transmission path. SOLUTION: The cable assembly 1 comprises: a casing cap 2: and a control cable 3. The casing cap comprises: a head member 20 comprising a side wall part 202 comprising a slit 202a, a head side axial direction engage part 202b, and a head side radial-peripheral direction engage part 202f, a top wall part 200, and an opening part 201; and a bottom member 21 comprising a base 213, a spacer 214 for the slit 202a, a bottom side axial direction engage part 210 engaging with the head side axial direction engage part 202b, a bottom side radial-peripheral direction engage part 215 engaging with the head side radial-peripheral direction engage part 202f, and a cable insertion hole 211. The control cable 3 comprises: an outer casing 30 fixed to the bottom member 21; and an inner cable 31 comprising an output side end part 311 comprising a branch end 311a inserted into the slit 202a.
