PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quaternary ammonium salt type wood preservative composition which is low in bubbling and bubble inclusion in a preservative treatment of woods, low in metal corrosion and excellent in preservative effect retention performance against water, and an anti-termite wood preservative composition containing an anti-termite preservative. SOLUTION: The above composition contains a water soluble or water dispersible wood preservative composition having a quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactant (A) and a polyol (B) in a weight ratio (B)/(A) of 0.01 to 1, and the anti-termite wood preservative composition further containing the anti-termite wood preservative; wherein the polyol (B) has a solubility to 30°C water of not more than 1 g/100 g water and a number average molecular weight of 150 to 4,000.
