The method involves sending an electronic message by a user (BN1) with a communication request at an electronic mail address of another user (BN2). The electronic message from communication node (KK), assigned to the latter user, is evaluated. The configuration of the real time communication connection between a terminal (EG1) of the former user and a terminal (EG2A,EG2B,EG2C) of the latter user is initiated by the real time communication address selected by the communication node. An independent claim is also included for communication nodes for configuring a real time communication connection.
