<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility of excessive delay in processing in a system for receiving a plurality of process requests whose times of occurrence are uncertain, and processing the requests using given resources. <P>SOLUTION: A data processing apparatus, for performing predetermined data processing in response to a request, comprises an accepting part for accepting a request, a processing part for performing processes matching the requests received, and a reply part for replying to the senders of the requests received. To send a reply indicating that no process has been performed in the processing part, the reply part adds identification data to the reply for identifying the request for which no process has been performed, and sends the reply to the sender.
