IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION RECORDING METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which records and utilizes information effectively even when the size of a region for storing the information for analyzing the cause of abnormality is limited in the image forming apparatus, and also to provide a method and a program for recording information.

SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus for storing the information about the image forming apparatus under operation in a storage device comprises: a means for storing the operational information 31 of console keys and the information 32 indicating the content of the display screen in a predetermined storage region for every information in the storage device; a means for determining whether the size of any storage region under use exceeds a predetermined size of storage region when the operational information 31 and the display content information 32 are stored; and a means for outputting the operational information 31 and the display content information 32, or a predetermined amount of data of the operational information 31 to the outside when a determination is made that either of the two exceeds the predetermined size of storage region.
