<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging module for biometric authentication or the like which facilitates the positioning of a prism and a camera module and gives a stable imaging quality. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging module for finger authentication 30 comprises LEDs 34a-34f for irradiating a finger with light capable of penetrating through the finger, a prism 12 having the incidence surface with an incidence region for taking in light having penetrated through the finger, the reflecting surface for reflecting the light taken in via the incidence region and the outlet surface 24 for radiating light reflected at the reflecting surface, a camera module 33 including an imaging element for focusing the light radiated from the outlet surface 24, converting the focused light into an electric signal and outputting it, and an enclosure 31 which holds the prism 12 at a predetermined position and has an installation part 31b for fitting and installing the camera module 33 at the outlet surface 24 of the prism 12. Light radiated from the outlet surface 24 of the prism 12 is focused on the imaging element of the camera module 33 installed on the enclosure 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
