PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic system that makes the cut plane line setting easier to reduce the operator's burden. SOLUTION: A tomographic image data generator 51 generates tomographic image data based on signals received through ultrasonic scanning. A rotation controller 8 rotates with a prescribed speed and outputs a rotary angle to a line generator 7. The line generator 7 generates a cut plane line inclined by this rotary angle. A display processor 6 puts the cut plane line on top of a tomographic image and displays them on a display 91. The cut plane line is displayed in the state that it is on top of the tomographic image while rotating with a prescribed speed. When the cut plane line is instructed to stop its rotation, a three-dimensional image data generator 52 removes the image part between its viewpoint and the cut plane line present at the time point when the instruction is given, and generates a three-dimensional image data based on the volume data included in the other regions.
