PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter capable of informing the present failure status of an operation input unit. SOLUTION: The gas meter 1 is provided with the operation input unit exemplified by a test isolating switch 13d, a container reset switch 13e, and a return button 15b. The gas meter 1 are further provided with failure determining means (exemplified by a microcomputer 13a, or the like) for determining whether the operation input unit is failed, and informing means (exemplified by the microcomputer 13a and a display unit 14, or the like) for informing a determination result determined by the failure determining means.
