PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of supporting a panel capable of improving working efficiency and a panel supporting device. SOLUTION: This panel supporting device 100 includes a first supporting metal fitting 10 and a second supporting metal fitting 20. The first supporting metal fitting 10 includes a first shaft body 12 and a first flange 14 screwed with a skeleton 101 side. A first cylindrical body 16 is formed on the end surface of the first flange 14. The second supporting metal fitting 20 includes a second shaft body 22 and a second flange 24 screwed with the first cylindrical body 16. A cutout part 25 of an angle of 90°is formed in the second flange 24. One sheet of glass pane is inserted through the cutout part 25, and placed on the first flange 14. After the cutout part 25 is rotated and set to a next predetermined position, a next glass pane is inserted through the cutout part 25, and so placed on the first flange 14 as to be parallel with the glass pane placed on the first flange 14.
