PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a biodegradable sheet for fumigation containing an aliphatic aromatic polyester resin or an aliphatic polyester resin, or a mixture of them or the like does not have sufficient gas barrier properties although the sheet is hardly torn even if it is caught in a tree branch or the like. SOLUTION: The biodegradable sheet for fumigation is provided with high gas barrier properties by forming a polyvinyl alcohol coating film on the biodegradable sheet containing the aliphatic aromatic polyester resin or aliphatic polyester resin, or a mixture of them or the like.
