摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing deterioration in a steel ingot surface texture and entrainment of a covering material into molten steel, the covering material covering the surface of the molten steel in a bottom-pouring ingot-making mold by reducing the flowing of seal gas bubble entrained in a fountain into the bottom-pouring ingot-making mold thereby preventing a large fluctuation in the surface of the molten steel in the bottom-pouring ingot-making mold, in the bottom-pouring ingot-making of the molten steel using the seal gas. SOLUTION: A molten steel pouring method is provided, in which in order to pour the molten steel from an upper part inlet 2 of the vertical fountain 1 and to pour the molten steel from an outlet 5 opened through the side wall 4 of a lower end part 3 of the fountain 1 into a runner 6 for bottom-pouring ingot-making when the molten steel is poured into the runner 6 through the fountain 1 from a ladle 8, swirl flow is generated in the molten steel by passing the molten steel through a molten steel guiding plate 7 composed of a spiral swirling plate arranged in the runner 6 just near the outlet 5, and the molten steel is bottom-poured from the runner 6 to the bottom-pouring ingot-making mold 10.
