PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the yield of a rolled stock 12 by preventing the generation of "scratches". SOLUTION: A coiler drum 24 includes an approximately cylindrical drum main body 28 having an opening part 38 into which the end part of the rolled stock 12 is inserted, a strip-shaped guide planar part 30 for introducing the end part of the rolled stock 12 to the inside of the drum main body 28 from the opening part 38 and an engaging part 32 for engaging the end part of the rolled stock 12 when winding the rolled stock 12. The outer surface 32b of the engaging part 32 and the outer surface of the drum main body 28 which is continued to the outer surface of the engaging part are formed into a curved surface having a swelling conforming to a swelling just before the second turn in the initial stage of the winding of the rolled stock 12 is superposed. Then, the rolled stock 12 is matched to the outer surface of the coiler drum 24 from the initial stage where the rolled stock 12 is wound up with the coiler drum 24 and the generation of the "scratches" caused by the slip of the rolled stock 12 is prevented.
