PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment machine capable of improving the capacity of the garbage treatment machine in apartments, condominiums and housing complexes. SOLUTION: The garbage treatment machine is equipped with a lockable lid for the charge inlet of the treatment vessel and has a card recognition means of recognizing user recognition cards given in advance to the machine user and a recording means of recording the data on the users admitted to use the garbage treatment machine. The use of the garbage treatment machine is judged through certification with the data of the card and the recording means. When the use is admitted, the lock of the lid is released so as to allow the charging of garbage, and a privilege is given to the user according to the amount of garbage charged.
