PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel that can increase the fishing yield by making the motor output condition controlled by the motor output controller and the change of winding speed caused by the actual load change detectable. SOLUTION: The fishing reel is equipped with the spool that is rotatably supported between the side plates of the reel main body, the spool-driving motor for winding up, the motor output controller that is displaceablly attached to the reel main body and controls the motor output of the spool-driving motor, the winding-up speed detector that detects the winding-up speed in the winding-up operation for winding up the fishing line, and the display device that is attached to the reel main body and displays the detected value by the winding-up detector and the motor output value responding to the controlling value of the motor output controller.
