The computer (1) has an integrated power supply (2), a network port (9) and a power line modem or a power line adapter (6) that is integrated with the power supply. The power line modem comprises a port (8) at an outer side of a computer. A connection of computer to another computer is attached at a power network or to a local network that is attached at the power network over a power line modem is established by a connection of the port (8) that is arranged at the power line modem and the network port through a cable (10).
