The method involves controlling a high pressure component (152) i.e. magnetic valve, for a distance to a disconnection, by a control signal provided by a control device (150). Electric current is supplied to the high pressure component, and controlling of the component is enabled such that a high increase of the current is provided before disconnection by a booster phase. The component is controlled by a pulse width modulation voltage signal.
