<p>A loudspeaker system with an endfire array of three or more loudspeakers (Z <SUB>n</SUB>, n = 3, 4,..N) arranged on a line. The system has a set of filters (F<SUB>n</SUB>, n = 3, 4,..N), each loudspeaker (Z<SUB>n</SUB>) being connected to one corresponding filter (F<SUB>n</SUB>). The filters (F<SUB>n</SUB>) are super resolution beamforming filters such as to provide the endfire array with a pre- designed directivity index (DI) and a pre-designed noise sensitivity (NS).</p> |
