The dowel comprises a body (1) extending from a holding collar (3) up to a boring end (4), the body being axially (2) provided with a bore for receiving a securing element. The body comprises a threading and supporting external screw thread (12) and the body (1) is split along the axis thereof from its boring end (4) up to the holding collar (3) thereof. The dowel body comprises expansion slots (9, 10) extending along several secant planes on its axis length.
