Aqueous suspensions from mineral materials and their uses

Aqueous suspensions of mineral materials containing, as dispersing agent and/or grinding aid, a copolymer constituted by: a) at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a carboxyl function, b) optionally at least one unsaturated monomer having a sulfonic or phosphoric function, or their mixtures, c) optionally at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer without a carboxyl function, and d) at least one ethylenically unsaturated oxyalkylated monomer having surfactant properties and terminated by a hydrophobic chain. Also disclosed are the use of said suspensions in the papermaking field, especially in the production of paper and in the preparation of coating slip, and a coating slip containing said aqueous suspension.
