The finishing head has a spindle housing (4) mounted on a swivel head which is rotatable with the housing about the first axis. The spindle housing can swivel about a second axis which is at an angle to the first axis. The end side (5) of the spindle housing has an interface plane (SE) to which the energy and signal transfer lines (11,13) lead which are connected to the connecting devices (12,14) mounted in the region of the interface plane. At least one of the lines leading to the interface plane is an electric wire whereby the interface for this formed by the relevant connector is a plug contact.
