A configurable electronic device 1 comprises a first keyboard section 2 having a first key surface 6 and a first surface 8 located opposite to the first key surface 6; and a second keyboard section 3 having a second key surface 10 and a second surface 11 located opposite to the second key surface 10. The two keyboard sections 2, 3 are connected via a hinge 4. The hinge 4 provides means for rotating the device 1 between a closed position (Fig.2b), where the first and second key surfaces 6, 10 are adjacently located, and an open position (Fig.2c), where the first and second surfaces 8, 11 are adjacently located. The device 1 may also be provided with a third display section (13, Fig.4) connected to the first keyboard section 2 via a second hinge (15, Fig.4). The device 1 may be a keyboard, mobile phone, PDA or the like. |
