Long foamed objects - made by inserting solid bar in mould then expanding it

Method of foaming long hollow objects consists of inserting a solid pre-product of bar form and suitable cross-section longitudinally into the mould, then expanding it; expansion may either take place progressively with time, or be initiated, e.g. by heat. The advantage achieved is uniform density.
