Mixer/kneading machine - with safety inter lock operated by lid

The hinged lid for the trough which can be rotated about the axis of one of the mixing tool spindles in its bottom half for emptying, carries on its rigidly coupled pivot shaft a slotted cam which is locked in the closed position by a cylinder lock operating an axial bolt against a return spring. The operating lever for the motor switch is locked in the off position by a similar lock whose bolt engages a hole in the base frame and both locks use the same key which cannot be withdrawn from the lid lock as long as the lid is open so preventing the motor from being switched on until the lid is closed and locked shut.
